You can sublease the entire apartment, if you fulfill some requirements according to the Danish "Lejelov" § 70.
The requirements are as following:
- The subletting have to be temporary, and for maximum 2 years. The absence for the apartment have to be caused by posting of work, a semester abroad in connection to education, sickness or similar circumstances. You have to send a proving document of the temporary leave. E.g. an employment contract.
- You have to provide Heimstaden with a sublease contract. The contract must be time limited.
- There cannot live more people in the apartment than the amount of rooms - e.g. 3 people in a three room apartment.
As the landlord we are allowed to reject the sublease under special circumstances, and is therefore important that you send in the documents for approval, before you complete the move-out etc.
